I suffer from lower back arthritis and live with back pain on a daily basis. Since I'm fairly young I did not want to start a medical regime to control this pain and have been researching the emotional and nutritional aspects of controlling pain for several months. When I had the opportunity to read 'The Truth About Back Pain' I was thrilled. This book outlined exactly the type of methods I was interested in!
The Truth About Back Pain is written from the belief that back pain comes from three distinct causes: structural physical damage; nutritional dietary habits, and emotional-stress or personal issues that may affect health.
I support these causes and believe that nutrition and emotional well-being can help or harm the body and that built up negative energy or food toxins can cause undue stress to already sensitive areas to the body. It's not that the medical factor is not there - it's that it's a part of your body that is already weakened and receives the brunt of any unbalance in the body. Just like an infection will attack the most vulnerable part or area of your body.
Chiropractic doctors Todd and Sheldon Sinett outline a new approach to diagnosing and relieving back pain that just may revolutionize the way you may think or have been taught about back pain your whole life. A staggering number of people suffer from different forms of back pain or back trauma that can significantly decrease their quality of life and often times they are told that prescription drugs and surgery are their only options.
This book definitely offers a different approach than the standard medical maintenance on back pain and may possibly eliminate the need for any type of future back surgery that I, myself, would like to avoid at all costs.
I'm anxious to start implementing more of the suggestions the book offers in my own life, such as the 'back diet plan' that is outlined in the book and to practice more emotional - kinesiology type exercises. Already with the suggestions I've started incorporating into my daily life have helped me immensely. I am now able to bend over in full range after getting out of bed in the morning - this is something I haven't been able to do for a year.
Following a diet and exercise plan (both physical exercise and mental exercise) you may just find the answer to your back pain and also find that many of your other ailments will completely disappear. Even if you do not prescribe to this type of body-pain intervention you might just be surprised by the results.
I recommend this book to any type of back or joint-pain sufferers!
