The Multi-Orgasmic Woman: Discover Your Full Desire, Pleasure and Vitality By Mantak Chia and Rachel Carlton Abrams, M.D.
There are many titles designed to help women improve and enhance their sexual experiences, but what sets The Multi-Orgasmic Woman apart is that it is a marriage of the East and West. Chia and Abrams bring their respective areas of expertise together to write a book that deals with both the mechanics and the art of fulfilling sexual encounters.
Chia is a master of Taoist arts and teaches in the United States and abroad. Abrams is a family practice physician who specializes in women's health and sexuality. Together, they have written a book that will find an audience in women all over, from those who have never had an orgasm to those who would like to transform their lives by harnessing their sexual energy.
The first part of the book focuses on physiology, with diagrams and
exercises designed to help women get in touch with their bodies (quite
literally!). Some of the exercises involve simply focused breathing or
visualization; others involve touch and exploration in a physical
sense. The goal of these exercises is not just to achieve orgasm (and later, multiple orgasms), but sexual
enjoyment and an improvement in one's overall health through
improvement in one's sexual health.
This book is not for those who are not willing to adopt a hand's on
approach to self-help, and it does involve some fairly involved visualizations in the exercises. But for those wishing for a how-to that goes
beyond the body parts to include the mid and spirit, The Multi-Orgasmic Woman is one to check out. |
