Welcome to DivaTribe

A diva accepts herself as she is right now and strives to be even better.
She doesn't change who she is to fit someone else's idea of what she ought to be.
She reaches for her own ideal sense of whom she wants to be.
She's strong; she's courageous; she's creative.

1.  Don't Go in the Stores.
Each moment that you're not in a store is a moment that you can't spend money.  Sounds easy, doesn't it?  Maybe it means you need to schedule errands for one day, instead of allowing yourself to go out any time you think you need something.  Or maybe it means you have a talk with yourself before you pull into that parking lot about needs versus wants and why it is you think you need to go into that shop.  Either way, if you're not in a store, you're not going to be spending money.

2.  Turn Off Your Computer.
The above suggestion works for brick and mortar stores, but what if you are shopping online.  In that case, you need to shut down your computer.  One way to delay purchases and give yourself time to reflect on them is to add those wants to wish lists rather than making impulse buys on the spot.  Most sites have ways to create wish lists or watch lists, so take advantage of them and give yourself a cooling off period while you turn the computer off.

3.  Make a List and Stick to It.
When you do find yourself shopping, whether it is online or in person, make a list before you start shopping and then stick to it.  If your list contains all of your needs and any wants that you have accounted for in your budget and you stick to it, then your spending will be within your acceptable range.
