Welcome to DivaTribe

A diva accepts herself as she is right now and strives to be even better.
She doesn't change who she is to fit someone else's idea of what she ought to be.
She reaches for her own ideal sense of whom she wants to be.
She's strong; she's courageous; she's creative.

Mounting Unmounted Rubber Stamps

Unmounted rubber stampsMaterials:

Double-sided sticky foam for padded backing
Clear static cling vinyl
Sharp scissors - two pair on hand is helpful
Unmounted stamps
Goo gone or similar cleaner (for cleaning your sissors afterwards)

Directions
:

mounting the stamp 1. Trim your unmounted stamps close to the image.
 2. Cut a piece of the grey foam close to the size you will need for your stamp.
3. Peel off the paper from one side of the grey foam and stick your stamp to it.
4. Trim away the extra grey foam, being careful not to cut your stamp. A little extra foam around the edge of the stamp is OK.
5. Cut a rectangular piece of the cling vinyl so that you have a piece that's bigger than your stamp. I usually have a half an inch to an inch extra around my stamp. This is where a second pair of scissors comes in handy. Cutting up the grey foam can make your scissors get sticky and gunky.
Finished mounted rubber stamp 6. Peel off the other backing paper from the foam. Peel off the backing from the vinyl. Stick them together.
7. That's it! To use your stamp, stick the vinyl to your acrylic block. If you need more static cling, rub your stamp's vinyl against fabric or carpet.

To give you an idea on cost...
I went to a stamp show and purchased everything you see in the first picture for under $35 - and I now have eighteen stamps! If you've purchased mounted stamps before, you know how much they are. Buying unmounted stamps will save you a great deal of money.
