Emollient
Foot Scrub
Copyright 2003
Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 Tablespoon sweet almond oil (I found this at my grocery store)
1 teaspoon glycerine (I found this at a local drugstore)
1 teaspoon honey
2-3 drops lavender oil (or other essential oil)
Mix all ingredients together. Mixture should be
grainy - the sugar will act as an exfoilant, while the oil, honey
and glycerine will soothe and moisturize your feet. To use, wet
feet with warm water, then massage mixture all over feet, paying
particular attention to rough spots like heels. Rub until all
or most of the sugar has dissolved, then rinse well with warm
water and pat dry. If you do this before bed, you can simply put
a pair of clean cotton socks on and let the emollients do their
work all night while you sleep. (Note that your feet will be somewhat
slippery.) If you need to wash the emollients off, use a mild
soap.
This recipe makes enough for one treatment.
