The
Year Ahead 2004: The Only Astrology Guide You'll Need, by Susan Miller
I'm not a follower of astrology, but I think it's fun to read
my horoscope now and then. More often than not, I read them,
after the fact, trying to see iof what was predicted really did
come to pass. Call me a cynic!
Be that as it may, I thought it would be fun to read and review
Susan Miller's The
Year Ahead 2004. I took it with me to a family
gathering and we spent the evening reading what was in store
for each of us. We had a good time reading through the overviews
for ourselves, and honestly, I hope what she has to say for my
sign (pisces) is true! It appears that I have a good year ahead
of me.
From the back cover:
Susan reveals the planetary cycles for each
astrological sign and explores in depth what you can expect
in such areas as love,
finance, career, family, and health. Filled with specific dates,
advice on how you can work with with planets to your advantage,
tips on how to handle eclipses and Mercury retrograde, adn
a global overview of 2004 for all signs, The
Year Ahead 2004 is the ideal way to prepare for
the coming year and the only astrological guide you'll ever
need.
Each sign gets its own chapter, complete with "the big picture", details
on the biggest trends of the year ahead (complete with dates
to watch for in the areas of love, finance and such), and a summary.
There are also three chapters devoted to cosmic tools (the planets,
sun and moon, and the twelve houses), the four eclipses in 2004,
and Mercury retrograde ("The turbulence and disruption
Mercury creates when it retrogrades are similar to what we feel
on Earth in our everyday lives.").
I'm no expert on astrology, but Ms. Miller is internationally
known as an astrologer, author and columnist. This is her third
Year Ahead book. My family and I had a good time listening
to what's in store for us - even my brother-in-law, despite
the fact that Saturn is about to hand him some tough life lessons
from which to learn. But the funny thing is, he is actually
at a stage in his life where he seems quite ready to buckle
down and take what life has to teach him, so maybe Saturn won't
be such a bad thing? I'm holding out hope for my windfall in
October!
