Well, over the weekend, I finally gave in to pressures and opened a Facebook account.  I was a little frightened at first, expecting an avalanche of messages, but it's been fairly quiet and maneageable.  I admit that it is a good place to post my messages about new entries on my website www.MaraWriter.com , instead of sending out mass emails (since pretty-much everybody is on Facebook).  I'm working on another  cooking video where I make lovely all-American Lemon Squares, which I hope to post soon.  Anyway, I will certainly put up the recipe on my website.  Made them yesterday and they turned out heavenly.  I really think that sweet, tangy lemon is my favorite flavor.

Our long weekend in the Maritimes of eastern Canada we were on hurrican watch.  Hurricane Earle hit Nova Scotia on Saturday and us in New Brunswick got off fairly lucky, just some heavy wind and rain.  The forecast was for it to hit us here directly, but lucky for us (not so lucky for our neighboring province of Nova Scotia) it changed direction.  Personnally I was extremely frightened, the wind can do so much damage.  The rest of the weekend was spent in just catching our breath and feeling how fortunate we were to have escaped the storm.
