I'm back to work tomorrow for a week of in-services, meetings, prep time, etc.  Kids come back on the 1st, and we have an informal welcome back potluck the evening of the 31st.

Here we go again!  Another year... I was thinking the other day that I entered teaching 18 years ago.  How on Earth have I gotten old enough to make such a statement?! Sad Wink  When I started teaching none of my students were even born yet.  The car I bought when I was 23 (still have it) is older than most of my students.  Bring on the midlife crisis... rotf

I can relate to that feeling. My DS is 16 and in 11'th grade this year, I have no idea how thats possible already!

Songs that I loved in high school are now played on the oldies channel, my kids roll their eyes when DH and I talk about growing up in the days before cell phones and Internet access. I find myself experiencing the age gap having to explain things my kids have never heard of like 8 track players, pay phones, and basically any reference to the 1980's.

I almost broke out in a cold sweat the other day when my DS mentioned that next Summer will be his last Summer in High school! shocked

Time truly does speed up as you get older!

I hope this is a great school year for you!

Yeah, I have a feeling after having a 4-day weekend, work is going to be pretty nutty this week.  I also will only be working Tues-Thursday.  I still have Fridays off (well I have to be reachable by cell).
