Welcome to DivaTribe

A diva accepts herself as she is right now and strives to be even better.
She doesn't change who she is to fit someone else's idea of what she ought to be.
She reaches for her own ideal sense of whom she wants to be.
She's strong; she's courageous; she's creative.

I've been following this blog for a little while now.  She takes a thrift store find - no more that $1 - and transforms it into something cute!

I find it inspiring.

I wonder that too.  She could buy several pieces in one shopping trip, to I get that part.  And she appears to be single (or at least not married) and not a mom, so she doesn't have those responsibilities.  As for employment?  Not really sure... she also have time to go out often, it seems. Wink

Here's her "about" info:
I was having a personal creative-funk-crisis this year and needed a bit of inspiration. Maybe it was because I was in the midst of turning 30 or perhaps it came from being overworked in a job that I luckily got laid off from – but what was for sure was that I was in a rut.

And then a Saturday afternoon viewing of Julie & Julia changed everything.  Now I didn’t want to cook my way through Julia Child’s French cookbook – je parle un peu Francais, but coq au vin just isn’t my thing – however, I did want to do something that would get my creative juices flowing everyday. And then the aha moment came to me.

All I want to say is that the movie Julie and Julia was the source of my inspiration for my MaraWriter blog.  The moment I left the theater, I told my friend, I'm going to start a website and talk about what I love.  And I did. And, of course, I like Julia Child and made some of her recipes, like a fantastic Savarin au rhum. It's good to live in the era of the internet, no?
