15 pound are gone!

After a 2-months-dieting, I've finally reached my goal!!

It was a long journey and now I'm so happy and proud of myself that I would shout it from the rooftops!!

The point is... I struggled quite a lot to find a diet that suited me, something that was healthy and effective at the same time. I tried out many different weight loss plans, both self-made and recommended by nutritionists, without losing a single pound! I guess all the diets I went on were too strict for me, that's why it was so difficult to stick to them.
I got discouraged and stopped dieting for about a year and a half, but every time I looked in the mirror my image was so upsetting that I decided to try again.
I had read about mediterranean diet as a good and healthy way to lose weight, so I decided to try it out. The programme I chose was a personalized one, based on my caloric requirements and containing all the foods you need to provide your body with necessary nutrients. It was a complete diet, rich in grains, fish, vegetables, legumes, fruits (something I was not so used to eat before going on my diet...) and a moderate intake of meat, especially red meats (that I used to eat quite often). Eating a bit of everything helped me stick quite easily to my plan – a varied diet is not as boring as denying yourself all the time and, also, italian recipes are really good :-) so I almost did not have the feeling to be on a diet at all!
Just in case any of you are interested, here it is:
http://www.italiandiet.comTo try it out you just need to sign up, give information about your weight, your lifestyle, your food preferences and your weight loss goal and you'll receive by email your free personalized mediterranean diet, based on your nutritional needs and provided by a team of nutritionists from the SISA (Italian Association of Food Science). On the site you can also find good tips on healthy eating and lots of light, italian recipes...
Hope you'll find it useful!
Going out for dinner to celebrate my goal tonight!!! I guess I deserve it, don't I?
