Hello Everyone! 

I stumbled across this board and was very intrigued! I am doing this project for my last semester of graduate school where I was asked to change the world. I started this blog called I Am... which stands for Illustrate Acceptance of Myself located at http://illustrateacceptanceofmyself.blogspot.com/ and inspired by message boards such as this and Post Secret. I have been asking people to anonymously create and mail in a postcard with I Am... on the front and expressing how they feel about themselves positively or negatively or both. The idea is to see that maybe we aren't so alone in how we view ourselves and maybe we can start to gain acceptance of ourselves! I've been trying to get the word out and I would appreciate anyones help in this exciting project. I have received about a dozen cards so far and they are fantastic (check them out!).  Each one is unique and shows a different representation of how people view themselves.   I think it is really important in our society today where we battle the meaning of beauty to start learning to accept who we are and love ourselves and our bodies.  What do you think?

Thank you  It's really exciting to open the mailbox and see postcards in their.  Everyone's message is so unique.  I hope more participate!  We live in such an individualistic society, it sometimes seems like no one else could possibly understand what your going through.  I think the messages on the cards shows that there are others out there who may feel exactly the same way we do, and that they do understand.

Now that the semester is over I did get a 100 on the project. However I am going to keep it going so if anyone wants to still send in postcards please feel free!
