I made spaghetti and homemade sauce last night for dinner. I have leftovers for my lunch this week.  I wanted a loaf of Italian bread but we didn't end up getting it and didn't miss it at all!

We got a gift in the mail of New Mexican chili mix and other goodies, so that's going to be dinner tonight!  I need to buy a can of stewed tomatoes but that's it. smile

I am making BBQ chicken breast in the crock pot.  I am going to make some biscuits and some kind of frozen veggie.   This is easy so far.

I agree!  With a little bit of extra effort and thought this has been easy and almost fun, really. smile

I need to update my inventory and think ahead for the coming week.  I know we're eating out on Wednesday, as it's a restaurant fundraiser night for ballet.

I had to toss out one thing of leftovers but in general we're doing a good job of eating up what's on hand.  How are others doing?

Did excellent this weekend. I just bought about $42.00 worth of groceries and gas only.

DH is waiting to get paid between jobs (he's self-employed) so things are pretty tight this month.

I used up some tomato sauce and some sweet potato puree last night.  I'm sure before this challenge I wouldn't have been so conscious of trying to use them up! big grin

Still going well out there?

I made a new list for the frig contents tonight and am working on using what's on hand.  I'm shopping too, but this has really helped me focus on putting together meals with things that I might have otherwise overlooked. thumbs up

I am doing pretty good still in the food department.

Although yesterday I did end up purchasing a bag and 2 pairs of flip flops at Old Navy that I really didn't need.

If I didn't have to go in there to buy a birthday gift, I KNOW I never would have bought these items.  Oh well.   I guess this is my big slip up for the month and they were pretty cheap considering.  hammer
