I am sooo mad!  

The State of Pennsylvania sucks!!!  

In February, my car had a coolant leak. Fixing it entailed DH basically rebuilding the entire engine. Not a small job! My car was off the road for over a month.

Car insurance is mandatory here. I pay over $2,000 a year to insure my 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. So, knowing it would be off the road for over a month, I cancelled my Insurance to save .

Well, apparantly, insurance co\'s are required by law to report cancellations to the state... Unknown to me the state suspended my license plate!

Saturday, I am driving home with the kids, obeying all traffic laws...  A bored cop ran my plate, it came up suspended, he called for backup and pulled me over! Next thing I know I am surrounded by police! :ohmy:
 
Now, the state is refusing to re-issue my plate until it serves a 3 month suspension! Regardless of the fact that I never drove it without Insurance! It has been insured since it was back on the road!

So, now I can either:

1: Send in my plate and park my  car for 3 months (while still paying the car payment!)

2: Sell my car and buy another!!!

I have 15 more payments left! I really dont want to buy a new car!

I am so angry! What the hell purpose does this BS serve?

Don\'t you wonder who makes these great policies?  

Hope you can find a solution that will enable you to drive your car and not buy a new one.

Do they have any appeal process that you can follow?
