What did everyone get for Christmas that they were really excited about?

DH bought me a wireless Scanner/Printer/Copier - I Love it!

Gift cards for iTunes and ballet stuff were both nice, as well as some pretty earrings from my parents and from DH's parents.  DH got me some new ballet/stretching videos too, and I've been burning them to my computer so that I can go down to our office where the barre is and not have to practice in the living room.   I'm looking into a small portable flooring surface for down there now too.

No one big stand-out gift but many nice, thoughtful gifts. smile

Yes, she does - it's been almost six years for her now, counting her pre-ballet days.  She was in The Nutcracker a couple of weeks ago and starts back up with classes next week.   I'm almost two and a half years into my classes now.  How time flies!

DH almost bought me one of those for Christmas! I really want to get one when we finish our Game-room - a locking one of course since we always have teenagers in the house. ; )

I completely understand and agree!  After the craziness of end-of-semester at school plus Nutcracker, vacation time at home was most welcome.

My parents asked me for a list this year, knowing I was in real need.  I asked for a bulletin board to help myself get organized (half of all stress anyway, right?) and I told them the dimensions necessary to fit near my front door.  I was quite eager to banish the piece of aging styrofoam there that did not properly accept pushpins anyway.
My new bulletin board is gorgeous.  Turns out it was originally constructed by my grandfather who died when my mother was 17.  I have heard wonderful stories about this man and feel so cheated that he could never be part of my life, (and of course feel terrible for my mother as well)  The original board was much bigger and hung in our tv room when I was a child.  A local craftsman cut it down to size for my use under my mom's direction.
I feel like a part of my grandfather is in my dining room now.  I run my fingers down the edge of the dark wood and imagine shaking his hand and greeting him.

My favorite Christmas gift this year was a pink Fender electric guitar.  I've already started to learn how to play it.   big grin

Yes.  I purchased a book with a DVD tutorial, also, but primarily it's DH.  So far, so good.  big grin
