DD and I are making soap today (well, at the moment we're waiting for the current batch to dry).  We bought more melt-and-pour soap base plus some new colors and scents.  Everyone else is out sailing right now, so it's just us and it's kind of nice to have some quiet crafty time together. lovey

How fun! I've never made soap before.

It's very simple - just melt it in the microwave, add scents, colors, glitter, whatever, and pour into molds.  About an hour later, pop them out!

That sounds like fun! I always thought you had to use a double boiler to make soap - I may have to try it out now!

I got the soap at Joann's the last couple of times, but I think Michaels would have it as well, or any other big craft store.  You could probably find it online too, though it's heavy and might cost a lot to ship.

Here's a sample of kits I've seen.
