You want to hit the ground running with goals and resolutions and then are sick and cannot really get a good start?  This seems to happen to me a lot.  I have some goals for nutrition and have this horrendous cold and sore throat and very little energy.  Whenever I have a cold I am very particular about what I want to eat and none of it is healthful.

Frustrating!  Logically, I know that it is only indicative of a slight delay in really getting going but it feels like such a disappointing derailment.

I'm with ya on this one.   I, too, brought with me into the new year, a wonderful cold - as well as everyone else in the household being sick with one infectious illness or another.
Generally I have a really clear-cut idea of what goals I want to reach for the year and start off great.  This year, that didn't happen.
I did, however, get my Christmas stuff put away today and am seeing some sort of normalcy returning.  Slowly, but surely.

Hope you're feeling better.
