What do you get for your possibly soon to be ex-BIL for Christmas?! My sister and her husband have been having serious marital problems, and would likely be divorced if it weren't for their kids, and the fact that they are  in a serious financial crisis. It is a really bizarre situation, in front of other people, he acts like everything is normal, but behind closed doors he treats her like garbage.

I would like to just omit him altogether, but I fear it would just fuel the fire. I'm thinking some sort of self-help book on how to treat other people with love & respect! What would you do?

That seems like a touchy subject. I wouldn't do a self help book....maybe a girft card to a bookstore instead?

I agree, I'd go with something very generic and reasonably priced and leave it at that.
