We 'surprised' my brother and his wife in D.C to celebrate my brother getting his doctorate.  It was a TON of fun.  I can't wait to go back and actually be more of a tourist... this was more of a family hang-out trip and it was short so we shopped and ate and did little else  smile

Welcome back! Glad to hear you had a nice trip. DC is so much fun - we are hoping to take the boys there this Spring when the Cherry trees are blossoming, and to tour some of the neat museums.

It's such a neat place.  We saw secret service too - which is about as close as I got to anything political.  My brother said that there are a ton of people w/ SS right now so it could have been anyone just shopping or going out to lunch.

I realized too how much I miss the 'style' of the east.  Plus this is my favorite time of the year too but people just pull off the neatest styles.  Our here it's all flipflops and board shorts, lol.
