Hello ladies. Just wanted to see how everyone is doing work wise. I'm currently working with Philadelphia cream cheese and going to school. It's working out great, even tho I have bad sleeping habits. I think that comes with the territory of working and going to school tho!

Work is insane. We have been much busier than usual, and have just hired a new part time mechanic.  I think in some ways this "credit crunch" is actually helping our business.

Repair estimates that 2 years ago would have sent people to the dealership for a trade in are now actually turning in to actual jobs they want done, because they can't or won't take out a new car loan... Also, with skyrocketing gas prices, people are starting to realize that the get better gas mileage when they take care of their cars maintenance needs.

OTOH, we have to be very careful about people not skipping out on their bills. I am spending considerably more time making collection calls, and I have had to "hold hostage" several vehicles until the owner could pay the bill. I hate to do it, but I have a family to feed, and employees to pay, and we can't afford to extend credit like a bank!

I am busy, busy with work - things are really good there, but it's hard to find time to sit down, slow down and just breathe.

Oh I totally agree, it is hard to find a moment to sit down at times and take a breather. Then again, I get to sit down when I'm driving. :-p
