Welcome to DivaTribe

A diva accepts herself as she is right now and strives to be even better.
She doesn't change who she is to fit someone else's idea of what she ought to be.
She reaches for her own ideal sense of whom she wants to be.
She's strong; she's courageous; she's creative.

Hi...I'm Sheri from NYC and l'm looking to give and receive support and feedback to other like minded women. I'm working on a theater project with a group of women (we call ourselves Sistah Tribe) that is to brought to girls in group homes. I'm hitting hurdles...albeit there have also been triumphs. Lately though I'm becoming disenchanted by the lack of cooperation and lethargy, and I've become a hard-ass. I'm at the point of ditching some of these gals who can't pull their weight. Would love to have a forum to process this aspect of my life, and share more.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Your work sounds fascinating, though I can hear your frustration in your post.

Welcome! I live and work as a social worker in NYC and the surrounding area, and find my field to often be quite frustrating as well.   I go back and forth many, many times about wanting to stay in it.  I think a big thing that can help is considering changing venues/populations.
