We don't have TV, but DH figured out a way to stream some live and recorded video via NBC, so we're able to watch.  I haven't seen much yet, though.  How about you?  What are your favorite events?

I love watching the Olympics...El Salvador has yet to win an Olympic medal (ever!) but, sometimes it makes for a good moment (like watching a tiny skinny guy from a small town in ES play against Federer, #1 in the world!...just think what he must have been feeling!)

My favorite event is the Women's Gymnastics. Unfortunately, I think I missed them! We have caught a few odd events, here and there, because it is neat for the boys.

I have sort of a bias about the Olympics though, ever since they started allowing Pro's in - I feel like that sort of dilutes the whole thing.

Yesterday, we actually watched the Men's swimming and some of the women's gymnastics, and it was pretty cool.

We are not watching the Olympics this go around. I typically try to catch the odd events, but this year, we are taking a news vacation. We need a break from the negativity plagued in the news, something I just need a break... some people reach for a kit kat.., lol.. I reach to turn off the TV.

Jenn, I feel the same way about the pros in the Olympics...it seems unfair, doesn't it?

I keep meaning to but I never have time to watch TV.

It also seems like every time I turn it on there is the most random sport coverage Wink  DD's soccer coach wanted us to watch all the women's soccer games but we haven't been able to do that.

Yeah, it really takes the excitement out of it. I remember as a kid being glued to the TV because it was so exciting to see the amazing amateur athletes - who worked so hard, not for the $, but for the love of the sport. It just is not the same anymore with pro athletes who makes $$$ already competing.
