I am so sad. I just found out that our next-door neighbors - my sons best friends - and the couple DH and I love hanging out with - are moving.

The company he worked for, for over 20 years, laid him off. After working his way up through this company, after college, putting up with being transplanted all over the world for his job - they lay him off so that they can bring in a younger replacement who they wont have to pay as much. So, he took a job in another state, and is now commuting, while his wife takes care of the kids, and gets the house on the market.

I am so upset! They bought the house next door about 4 years ago, and our families have become really close. We will miss them so much! We were both almost in tears when she told me what is happening.

They are having a huge garage sale this weekend, and gave us first dibs on anything, but I still cannot accept that they are really moving!
