My avatar keeps showing up in my browser as an "X" and not as the picture.  Is it my browser?  Do I need to update something in my account? (I can never find the link to update my account either).  hammer bouncing lol

I've never been able to get the avatars to work properly.  I just tried adding my own and nothing came up.  In your account I don't see one uploaded to even try and change it or remove it.  Can you click on your own username and get to a user control panel of sorts?  I can but that may be because I'm an admin.

I had the same problem - I thought it was just me! I went through my account, and then to forum controls, and reloaded my basic facebook pic, and it appears as an "x" too.

Having an Avatar is a nice feature, but not a big deal to me. I am glad to know it isn't just me, and to offer my 2 cents on the non-admin control panel!
