I'm about three-fourths of the way through this book and am loving it.  It has moved me to misty eyes a few times!  Has anyone else read it or thought about it?  I highly recommend it.  Short summary - an American climber  fails to summit K2, winds up in a small, rural village, promises to come back and build them a school and winds up building over fifty schools throughout Pakistan.  It's a story of education, Islam, devotion, and peace, and it is quite moving.  If you've heard of the Pennies for Peace program (some schools do this) it is related to this Man (Greg Mortenson) and his organization.

This has been on my reading list for awhile. I finally finished one book this morning so I took this one out from the library today. I am so excited to begin reading it!
