xDh and I are going to go look at some cars - hopefully some hybrids and I'm going to see if I can trade mine in and get a new one.  If not, we're just going to look.

I was worried about dragging DD around a car dealership on a saturday and just a few minutes ago a friend called an invited her over to play and go swimming so it was perfect timing!

ended up with a matrix which I really like.  It's a lease so in 3 years I'll be back to look at hybrids again.  My goal was to get an equal or lower payment or else it wasn't really worth it to me and they hybrids would have been more - even though tax breaks, etc but I'm really trying to get my monthly payments down.

It's cool though... I still can't believe I have a new car I feel like it happened pretty fast!

Congrats on the new car! Isn't it so much fun driving around right after getting a new car?! Poor DH has barely gotten to drive our new Jeep because I have been totally hogging it since we got it a few weeks ago!

We have kicked around the idea of trading in our Pontiac on a hybrid, but price-wise it just doesn't make sense for us at this time either. (The Pontiac is paid off, and is sporty enough w/ it's 6 cyl. to get around 28 mpg.)

Enjoy your new car!

congrats
new cars are soooo much fun.  I drove a hybrid when I rented in San Fran last month.  It was great.. not a Toyota, I think I would want to try one of those.  When I went to return the car-- ya know how you refill the tank.  I went to the gas clerk and gave him $7 to put in... Oh my -- talk about flash backs from the 70's when gas was .35 cents a gallon.

Have fun in your new toy
