Welcome to DivaTribe

A diva accepts herself as she is right now and strives to be even better.
She doesn't change who she is to fit someone else's idea of what she ought to be.
She reaches for her own ideal sense of whom she wants to be.
She's strong; she's courageous; she's creative.

I am new to this blog, am needing help support and advice.
whew, well in a nut shell, my marriage is extremely dysfunctional. I can't do the dysfunction any longer. I have 2 children 10 and 15. I am contemplating my choices, again, and feeling, again,  like I need to leave. I live in a low paying but high rent community and cannot afford to get my own place. Thus part of my dilemma. I am wondering if there is a miricle place in existance that is a free or trade place I can live for a while til I get my head together. I am extremely sensitive and am in great need of nurturing so it must be a loving and supportive environment. Does anyone have ideas? depending on the place, yes I am willing to relocate, My kids may or may not come with me. I do have a car and am willing to camp thru the good weather. I have a small dog that would come with me. I am a strong believer in the divine and women power and I welcome your help.

Hostels? (not like the movie!), the YMCA rents rooms for very low cost, becoming a live-in aide/caregiver? Nanny?

Check out Craigslist. Sometimes towards the summer I see listings for places that need volunteers to do large farming/community gardens and such in exchange for room and board.

Also maybe consider a roommate in general for lower rent.

Of course these options probably would mean leaving your children with your husband/family until you can get on your feet.
