Welcome to DivaTribe

A diva accepts herself as she is right now and strives to be even better.
She doesn't change who she is to fit someone else's idea of what she ought to be.
She reaches for her own ideal sense of whom she wants to be.
She's strong; she's courageous; she's creative.

I have a DVD of Numb3rs in my Netflix queue - have any of you seen that before?  I've never seen it and am wondering if I might be able to bring snippets of it into my classes for fun (and educational value too).

I Love that show! In every episode the mathematician explains the formula he is using in layman's terms, along with really good illustrations - I think that would carry over very well in to the classroom!

Currently, my TIVO is set to record:

The Riches
Samantha Who?
How I met your Mother
The Bad Girls Club
Lost
CSI

Fortunately, we can watch any of our favorite history channel shows on Free On Demand at any time, otherwise I would probably blow up the TIVO with overuse!

I watched two episodes of Numb3rs from season 1 last night - the pilot plus the next episode.  I really liked the pilot but the next one left me kind of unimpressed.  I've got two more on this DVD to watch, and I think shows often get better, so I still have hope!

I actually did not like the first season, it was kind of bland. I really only started watching it recently, maybe 2'nd - 3'rd season, not really sure! Anyway, I think it did improve a lot after season 1.
