Welcome to DivaTribe

A diva accepts herself as she is right now and strives to be even better.
She doesn't change who she is to fit someone else's idea of what she ought to be.
She reaches for her own ideal sense of whom she wants to be.
She's strong; she's courageous; she's creative.

Different people have different comfort levels as far as how much of a cushion they need in savings to feel secure.  Take part in the poll and share more on this thread, if you'd like.

More replies/votes?

This is near and dear to me right now because we are doing work in our kitchen and wanting to do some other things, but I am having to face writing checks and deciding how low the liquid savings can get before I'm going to start losing sleep at night!

We're pretty lucky because right now, DH can pay for the mortgage himself, so my $$$ can be devoted to a lot of stuff for around the house.  I still like to save a good portion of my $$ though "just in case".

I've lived for so long with so little in the way of a financial safety net that I have gotten more comfortable with having very little in the way of reserves.  Not a good thing, just observing what has happened over the years.

asleep (<-- me getting some sleep because there isn't much more I can do about it)

BF, on the other hand, is totally freaked out by having next to nothing in savings.  eek
