For you divas who write for a living or as a side job, how do you decide what to write about?  Do you spend a lot of time thinking of ideas, or do they just come to you?

Usually, ideas just come to me--but if not, I just go down to the local coffee shop or park and I people watch.  I like to make up stories about people--and then I start weaving intricate things about them...it definitely brings me some musings about life.  What about you?

Ooohhh, I LOVE to people watch and make up stories about them!  I thought I was weird for doing this, but I've done it all my life.  It's nice to find somebody else who does this, too!!   big grin  I don't write; at least not yet.  I'd like to give it a go for fun, and was just curious how other people chose topics.  Thanks for posting!!!

If you that makes you weird, then count me in too! I am a total people watcher as well. I like to sit quietly in a crowded place, looking at people, and make up entire stories about them. Actually, this what I usually find myself doing while DH and the boys are shopping! If I had the time and memory span, I swear I could have published some short fiction novels by now!

Hello ...
It's been a long time ago since I 've been here , in this forum due to several responsibilities.
Since my first book ( in Greek ) was published on December 2007 ( see my website: www.endless-journey.gr )  , I can entrust you my own way of writing .
Actually I see pictures,or let's say I visualize pictures , and then pictures transform into words.
It's a creative momment, a creative rush to write and shape icons on a white paper, giving love and tender in whatever I write.
I will something that might be common , but it's a form of tuning with something more superior than conventional reality we all live in.It's sublime and this has to do with my motives, thoughts and goals in life.
Basically it has to do with our inner light and insights.
