Welcome to DivaTribe

A diva accepts herself as she is right now and strives to be even better.
She doesn't change who she is to fit someone else's idea of what she ought to be.
She reaches for her own ideal sense of whom she wants to be.

I'm on day 1 of what will hopefully be my new Raw food lifestyle.  smile I've been going over the pros and cons and benefits for the last week or so and I really think this is for me.

I think it will be hard for a while until I adjust to the new way but cross your fingers for me!

Jen, I thought of you too because a lot of women were talking about how they don't get migraines anymore after being on the raw food diet.

Are you easing into it or trying to go all out from the get-go?  Out of curiosity, what made you decide to try it?

I'm on day 2 smile and I've pretty much jumped full force into it but I haven't gotten into making actual recipes yet.  I'm just eating fruits, veggies, nuts and any raw, unprocessed, uncooked foods.

I decided to do it for a number of reasons but mostly I've heard such great things about it and the truth of the matter is that I don't really like cooked foods to begin with (although I ate plenty because it was quick to nuke a processed meal or throw pasta in a bowl)

Plus I'm hoping it will help my back.  I have an arthritic back that makes it really painful to sleep and move around in the morning and a few people have said that a raw diet helps arthritis (as well as other things).

We'll see.  I'm on a thirty day challenge so after the 30 days I'll know enough whether it works for me or not. smile

Good luck! I wish I could be that dedicated to a new meal plan/diet!

it's going 'ok'.
I've really stuck to consistently eating raw but I can't say that I'm not eating some processed foods as well.  Namely pastas, bagels and white rice.
BUT I do try to limit it.

I feel good too.  I have a little more energy and I'm a little more motivated to do things around the house when I get home from work.  In fact, I haven't even turned the TV on in 2 weeks!  My D-ivo is probably completely filled up. Wink

I'm glad that it seems to be helping you feel better.  I don't know much about foods/diets that help with inflammation, but I know that diet can play a big role in it.
