Me, me!  yippee
I'm doing horribly!...I look like a poorly tied sausage!...ugh!...
AND, I've had my gym clothes and new pedometer (a friend's gift) at work forever now (always meaning to go for a walk around the compound!)...although, I really wouldn't be able to start until next week (my cousin and I sell toys to companies, for their employees' children, during the holiday season and, this is our busiest week of the year!)

Count me in!  Over the holidays I won't be able to get to ballet (studios close) so I'll need to make sure I get out and walk, or do a class via DVD at home, so manage my stress and keep myself moving.

Here's my check-in for 12/12 (yesterday) and 12/13:

12/12:  danced twice...at a bar.  One line dance, one two step.  Sadly, the beer and french fries I consumed at said bar probably did a lot more damage than I worked off in those two dances.  But, hey, I danced, right?  RIGHT?!   bouncing lol

12/13:  So far, no junk food, which is a blessing at the holidays!  I've said no to the office candy dish and people's holiday goodies.  It's only 9:08; wish me luck for the rest of the day!!

I've gone on the treadmill for the past 2 days for 30 minutes.  I am going to go on later today as well.

I'll be at ballet tonight.  I haven't had class in about two weeks now, so I'll be even more tight tonight and plenty sore tomorrow!  But it's all good. big grin  I think I can take class next week, and then there will be a two-week break.  Sad

I went to my company's christmas party and did a lot of jumping up and down at the gambling tables Wink
Actually I danced a bit and didn't eat a lot of the food because I didn't like it... so that was a good start!  I need to get my  yippee in gear!

I am doing so bad lately.  I've been eating out/in instead of working out!  Tommorrow, I swear, tommorrow I start again! (the treadmill that is!).

I took class last night and am planning on going tomorrow night and Friday night as well.  There's a chance I can take class on the 26th, which would be great!  On the off days, I really, really need to walk, stretch and otherwise move my sedentary self!  diva

Do they have ballet classes for beginners? I haven't done ballet since I was like 6 LOL but I do hear it's such a great workout.  I know there's a dance studio right up the block from where we are moving this spring. Maybe I should check it out.  One of my friends will be living in the neighborhood and loves this kinda stuff so I'd probably have someone to go with at least.

i think it varies from city to city.  In my area, the classes are beginner/advanced beginner, by and large, although there are not true "beginner" classes.  you kind of get thrown in the deep end and fend as best you can. Wink  But I was a true beginner last summer and have managed to survive. Wink

Gah, I just type a whole reply and it didn't go through!

Anyways, I found some leads online........one class in particular that the teacher has designed for "true" beginners based on her experience of students coming to her classes who were more advance intimadating the newbies.

I also emailed someone who I know is a dancer for a rec.

I just ran on my treadmill for 30 minutes. Woo hoo! Go me!!!
