What are some good holiday gifts for those on a budget?

My list to buy for this year:

1.) husband
2.) parents
3.) inlaws
4.) two sister in laws (18 & 30 yrs old)
5.) My sister (26)
6.) Hubby's grandparents
7.) Hubby's aunt, uncle & cousin (since we have a big Christmas eve spread they are invited to)

Hubby is feeling that we have to give everyone "nicer" gifts this year as well since the parents especially gave us a lot towards our wedding.

I don't know if you purchased the copyright to your wedding pics, but framing one for your family members would be a good gift; and most of the places around here (Michael's, Aaron Brothers) have 50% off coupons for custom frames.  Or, you could get really nice frames at those locations and frame them yourself for less.

I love baskets Wink This is tried and true in my world. smile and can fit any budget.. I usually budget about 15 dollars each.
You can often buy things in larger packages and you can divide it up yourself smile Or you can make a kitchen basket with a few crocheted dish cloths, over mitts and a few of those cookie mix in a jar type things.  I do a lot of assembly of gifts. I also use fun container.. I have used vases, plant pots, bowls, mixing bowl, a mug etc.
For the husband .... diva

I love baskets too, especially if what you use for the 'basket' goes with the theme and can be re-used somehow.  I was thinking about putting together "green" baskets this year for a few people, if I need a gift and can't think of what to get.

When DH and I got married, friends gave us an "Italian dinner" basket with a bottle of wine, pasta, sauce, checkered napkins, etc. I still remember it!

I like to give magazine subscriptions to people who I think might also be on a budget, as that is something people tend to give up when they're looking for ways to trim their spending.

That is an awesome idea. I have sent Readers Digest just because to my father in law.. but that would be an awesome holiday gift for grandmas to smile not worthy

Part of my shopping is done.  Still kinda high for both sets of parents, but they deserve it for contributing so much to our wedding this year:

I bought my parents a $200.00 giftcard they can use towards Choice hotels (they do a lot of travel).

Got the inlaws a $200.00 giftcard towards Foxwoods (they can also use for an overnight hotel stay).

Spent just under $100.00 so far on the hubby..........got him a NY Giants blanket and a Mets big pillow. He wanted sports stuff, and these double for things that he needs (needs a new blanket since he is always curling up on the couch and the pillow he can prop himself up on and read in bed which is what he does every night).
