A diva accepts herself as she is right now and strives to be even better.
She doesn't change who she is to fit someone else's idea of what she ought to be.
She reaches for her own ideal sense of whom she wants to be.

I found some very easy pattern for a bolero - with instructions on how to customize the size!- and printed it and I'm already about half-way making a bolero for Ale....she has told me she wants one, and even showed me one at the store the other day....it cost $20!  eek  ...I found some pink yarn at home last night- I think it might be enough- and decided to try it for gauge....if it comes out right, I might go out and buy some yarn to make (a bigger) one for my niece and, maybe even one for my sister for Xmas...I bet I could make them both for less than $20!  big grin
I also found some patterns for handbags, so for niece, who is bag-addicted, I might make a matching purse! (that is, if no translations interfere with my plans! bouncing lol )

Have you had time to start it yet?  If so, how's it going?

I finished it and, it turned out great!...I gave it to Ale as an "I'm rooting for you" gift to wear during her audition to the contest (which was great, because they didn't let ME in, so I told her to remember while she was wearing it, it would be like I was there with her!)...
they actually took a picture of her, which I need to scan...you really can't see it all that well, but, it'll give you an idea of how it came out!

Wow, very nice.  I haven't knitted in a long time, I just haven't been able to afford it.  It struck me at some point that it was cheaper to buy a pre-made sweater made out of the exact same yarn than it was to buy the yarn itself.  I found a DNA pattern scarf online that will be my next project, once I'm ready.

I knitted the same thing in red, adult sized, for sis...and a handbag for niece...
sis was touched that I had found time to "play spider" while working with the toy sales and translations...
