so said one of DD's "friends"...
another little girl had brought beans, platains and cheeese and, it seems everyone wanted to trade for cheese...Ale mentioned she didn't want any and this other girl (not the one that had brought the cheese!) said: but, of course, you have nothing to trade anyway! (what I'm going to say is mean and petty, but this was the girl that was diagnosed with anemia, eventhough she's overweight!- of course SHE thinks Ale's lunchbox is boring...it's filled with yogurt and wholegrain sandwiches, homemade meals and fruit, not nachos and candy and cheese puffs!)... hammer
I just had to vent!....I could tell that Ale was indignant, but also a bit hurt by the comment!

Kids can be so cruel!
I would rather have Ale's lunch anyday over a bunch of junk!

well, she also told me that the teachers review the lunch boxes and, discuss them with the class and, based on nutrition, they pronounce them as "good tooth" or "bad tooth"...she was happy because her lunchbox is always "good tooth"!  big grin  I do throw in the occasional junk food, but, if I pack a slice of pizza I make sure there's fresh fruit or, if I pack candy then she HAS to have veggies...stuff like that...

Kids can be so mean; and jealous.  I'm sure the other girl wants to be a good tooth.

Well handled!  clap

It says a lot about the way people are raising their kids today that the girls only thought junk food was of any value. What's with this lunchtime commerce anyway?

Well, your DD's lunchbox sounds delicious and good for you for having the common sense to pack a healthy lunch.

Little girls are so unbelievably petty, and it's getting worse and worse these days. That comment was gross; it was exclusive and rude, and I can understand her being hurt. Just remind her when she's older and Anemia Girl is puffing and sweating in gym in shorts she shouldn't be wearing, and DD's a size 2, she can just smile and go on eating her yogurt.

Yay for Ale and for you!
