sad  mad  pulling hair  diva love  hammer
After almost 2 years on the depo shot I decided to change birth control menthods.  I loved the shot because I didn\'t get my period, no cramps, no breast tenderness, no crazy hormones, etc.  What I did not like is the 15 lbs I gained and the urges to eat all the time.
After a lot of thinking, I\'ve switched to the patch.  I put on my first patch last Tuesday and the roller coaster ride began!  Within 5 days my breasts when up almost an entire cup size!!!  The mood swings hit me about 2-3 days in, crying spells, anger...   Then my breasts started aching, incredible pain.  I haven\'t been able to go five minutes without a bra in the past week.  If DH touches them I turn into devil-woman!  It\'s only been a little over a week and this better even out soon, I feel so out of control.
Any ideas to help the pain in my chest?  Any thoughts of how to calm the hormones? rolleyes  pulling hair

I know that with the pill and the patch, they say your body may need 1-2 cycles to adjust.  Give it some time, and hopefully things will settle down.

(I wish my cup size would go up from the patch!  The only time it did that was when I was pregnant.....  Wink  bouncing lol  And even when my milk came in I still only hit a C cup.  Oh well... )

I hear ya!!!

I am going through the same thing right now! I just switched BC Pill brands, and I am breaking out like a teenage boy while fighting the overwhelming urge to throw things and start fights!!!

Oh! I hope this hormonal surge is over soon!

I hope the patch works out better for you than it did for me. It made me CRAZY! I was such a Bitch and cried all of the time! DH used to threaten to rip it off while I was sleeping.

After that I went on Orth-Tricyclyn-Lo, and now I am wondering why I messed with a good thing and switched to Yasmin - which is killing me right now!

Good luck - I hope you are feeling better soon!

Awesome!  I\'m so glad I\'m not alone!
I mean, I\'m sorry that you\'re feeling crappy and crazy too, Jenn, but it\'s so nice to know I\'m not alone.  It sucks!  It\'s sooo easy for me to get pissed off lately, literally anything can set me off.  It\'s terrible.  I went shopping with my mother on Saturday, we were having a great time and all the sudden I became evil Jill.  Why?  Because I saw some towels and cute bathroom stuff that I loved, then realized that I have no room in our small bathroom for extra cutesy stuff!!  How silly!  It really made me mad.  20 minutes later I found a pretty sweater and I was healed.
Mood swings are awful.  The breast pain is slowly tapering off, but they are still sensitive.
The worst part in all of this is that I\'m petrified that it\'s not going to work and I\'m going to get pregnant.  I know the odds and that\'s it\'s so unlikely, but I\'m still scared.  It\'s put a slight damper on my sex drive.
I hope it evens out for you Jenn, I\'m hear for ya! pulling hair
