If you've been having trouble staying logged into the site, it should be working properly now.  (I posted about this on JennR's thread in the DivaTribe for Dummies forum also.)  I also did some purging of registered users with no posts and no logging in for ...well... let's say for a LONG time. Wink  Hopefully there won't be anyone deleted inadvertently that shouldn't have been.

it seems for me the problem is fixed in IE but I used to never have a problem in FF and now I am.  (I primarily use FF at home)

I only have the option to login on the sidebar, whereas before there was a link at the top of the forums and gave you the option in minutes (I think) of how long you wanted to be logged in for.  Maybe it's pulling from that because I didn't put in anything??

FWIW, it seems to be the same problem - on the side it says I'm logged in but when I click through to the forums it says, 'Hi Guest' and I can't post or reply until I log out and then log back in.

[edit- I moved this so it wouldn't disrupt the other forums smile ]

Hmmm...OK.
I use Firefox too and I'm not having troubles.  But let me see what DH and I can figure out.

Lara is still having problems with this, in Windows.

Is anyone else?   If so, please let me know your operating system as well as the browser.

update - I'm trying this now on a Windows machine with Firefox and having no problems. I really need to know if this is happening to others.

still happening to me and I've deleted all of my cookies, etc.
The sidebar does not seem to correspond with what the forums are actually registering.  I can stay logged in on the sidebar for days but I'm a guest when I get in the forums.

I got a brand new computer at work with both IE and FF so I will try it on that and let you know.

My old computer at work (windows 2000 - both IE & FF) had the problem and my laptop at home (old decrepit windows xp - both IE & FF) have the problem.

Let me know what happens on the other computer.
I need to find IE on a computer at work to test it as well (without anyone knowing, as I really don't want DivaTribe popping up in anyone's history there!).  eek

new comp at work (windows xp) with both IE and FF works fine smile

(so now you all know that I sneak on to DT at work Wink )

my laptop at home is hopeless so I wouldn't even worry about it.  I'm used to logging in and out - it doesn't bother me or deter me from posting... but I wonder about any lurkers or new people if they are frustrated with the same problem with older computers. ??

Thanks for letting me know the latest regarding the newer computer.

But you're right about newbies who may be having troubles and thus deterred from posting.  Sad  I wish I knew what the problem was...

I am having this issue again. I had written out a whole post, got logged out, and lost the whole thing! Ugh!

I am now using a Mac running Leopard and the newest version of Safari.

I don't have access to Leopard but DH is going to try and look into this for you.
