Just reporting in to the Divas about my new love.   diva   Things are going GREAT!  I\'m having a hard time finding the balance with my time.  Work, friends, boyfriend, activities, my cats, and (oh yea, almost forgot) ME.  I think it\'s probably common for people in new relationships (??) but I am struggling with it nonetheless.  I am lucky to have such a problem and am not complaining at all!!  But I\'d love some advice or comment from the Divas on how you find a balance.  Has anybody else struggled with this?

Having said all that, I am totally smitten and happy.

First off, let me say how happy I am for you.   yippee

I think just being conscious of the need for balance is a great place to start.  It isn\'t easy, and I\'m not sure when it ever gets easier, but such is the nature of life, I guess.  At least they are good problems to sort out. smile  It\'s natural to spend more time in certain relationships than others, but as long as you don\'t let otherwise valuable relationships go altogether I think you\'ll do fine.

That is fantastic that things are going so well with him!  I love hearing about it and I\'m so happy for you.
Finding the balance is very hard.  It\'s so easy to be crazy about him and want to spend every waking second with him, but you can\'t forget about your girls.  Don\'t ditch your friends!  When DH and I started dating we forgot everyone else in the world existed and made no time for anyone else.  It was very unfair.  Then later down the road one of my friends did the same thing to me and it felt awful!
Anyway..how to find the balance takes a lot of planning.  Get a datebook.  Since you and DB are settling in a little you can do more routine things together, like grocery shop together and make dinners at home.  That way you get things done while spending time together, then eating at home allows you to spend time there with the kitties.  For alone time I suggest taking jogs early in the morning or going out for breakfast alone.  Morning is a great time to be alone (I\'m not a morning person, no one wants to be around me!!).  For events and plans with friends use the datebook to keep track of things so you don\'t forget and accidentally upset anybody.  New love tends to make for a very forgetful girl, thinking about that man all time makes responsibility smaller and smaller... bouncing lol

Heather, I am so happy for you!  I think it is great that you are remembering the need for balance and just being aware that you need it will help.  I am just thrilled for you!  You deserve all the happiness in the world.  Your new man is very lucky.
