I need some advice please!!! Im married with 4 children.  My husband and I both work,  I make 350. a wk.  He makes 500. a wk.  He gives me 200. a wk  I pay all the bills out of my check and the 200. he gives me. Rent electric, insurance...everything.  He doesn\'t pay anything out of his remaining 300. except for his own personal wants...Snap-on tools.  I haven\'t been questioning this until lately when I have been having to stretch every penny.
Does this sound wrong to anyone or is it just me.

I think all marriages/partnerships need to make sure that each person has his/her own money to spend however they choose, and the rest needs to go towards common goals - bills, savings, etc.  If your husband has $300 to spend on anything while you\'re pinching pennies to make the $550 cover what it needs to, then IMHO he ought to be giving you some portion of his fun money.

Have you been able to sit down and talk with him about it?  Does he know how difficult it is for you to make the $550 stretch as far as it needs to?  Does he know what your family\'s expenses look like month in and month out?  If he doesn\'t and is unde the impression that everything\'s going swimmingly, then a talk seems in order. smile
