I\'m never sure how to read american dates... so dont know how \'out \' I am. In Australia when its the 12th of June for example, we write the date as 12/06/05 ... however I think Americans do it the other way. This past weekend was Queens birthday weekend which is a public holiday, which translates as a 3 day weekend and luckily we have alot of public weekends here and everyone loves them. If you have a job like mine, you have three day weekends up to 10 times a year!... this long weekend I also attached a rosterd day off , once a month I can have a \'free day\' because I work 40hrs a week instead of 38 as is legally required, therefore I had a 4 day weekend.. how cool is that? I had my son for the 4 days so thought we would do movies, see a car show, have friends over etc.. except the Sat he got sick... and stayed sick till Monday... then on tuesday my car broke down, (new battery) spent half the day sorting that out and also sorting out my taxes... so thats what my fun long weekend was... nursing sick kid, sick car and sick finances.. ha ha.... but thats all a part of life right? Luckily I have another break coming up.. 9 days at the end of June.. yipee
