Who here is looking forward to seeing how Johnny Depp et al remake this movie?   I am!  We watched the original not too long ago, and I\'ve heard the new one is darker and truer to Roald Dahl\'s original story.

Speaking of Johnny Depp - I watched Finding Neverland the other night and really, really enjoyed it.  I like character driven stories, I liked the story of Peter Pan, and I like Johnny Depp, so it was a great movie for me to see.

We saw it last weekend, I thought it was great.  Johnny Depp was wonderful, of course, he is such an amazing actor.  The story was touching and sweet, but also very sobering in the end.  I cried!  I haven\'t seen the original since I was very young, so I honestly did not have much to compare the new movie to, but I thought that it was wonderful.  It was very much a Tim Burton/Danny Elfman movie, you could tell by the opening music and scenery, it was very captivating.  Their work seems to become more unique and creative with every movie.
I loved \"Finding Neverland\" also, Depp is incredible in overy role he plays.  You can tell he has such a passion for acting, he is phenominal.  That is a very touching story, a major tear-jerker!

We finally saw WW and the CF yesterday.  I loved it!  Johnny Depp was awesome in it - quirky and odd and just plain funny in his delivery of some key lines (\"Mumbler!\").  It was a good remake - kind of made the story its own instead of trying to recreate what had been done 30 years ago.  And I\'ve been a Danny Elfman fan since his Oingo Boingo days - I always enjoy movies where he\'s doing the music and/or vocals.

I saw it with DD a few weeks ago and I loved the mumbler part.  When she would be whiny about something I would say, \'huh? are you mumbling?\' and we would both get a laugh out of it.

Johnny Depp can do no wrong in my book Wink  I  didn\'t know the original story only the first movie so I liked the differences and the story-line between wonka and his dad.
