That\'s great new Jenn.    Thank goodness she is safe.  
It\'s seems so odd, reading about the devestation from Katrina and having life be normal here.  I feel helpless and so detached from what those people are feeling and going through in New Orleans.  The photos and stories are heartwrenching.  It\'s so awful.

There are numerous animal disaster relief efforts going on, and the link takes you to a few of them.  Noah\'s Wish List is one of the foremost charities in the US which aids animals in disasters.  In addition, you can also make donations to PetSmart\'s charity, ASPCA and others.  
Please try to make a donation.  There are going to be hundreds even thousands of animals dead, starving, trapped now that they are evacuating all of New Orleans.  Please try to help the disaster relief.

I cannot even believe my eyes watching the news out of New Orleans. The sheer desperation, destruction, anarchy, and utter chaos. It is so hearbreaking.

I don\'t understand how we can have the means to fight wars and offer aid all over the world, and yet be so unable to provide the humanatarian relief needed right here and now.

It is just so shocking - this horrible catastophe, and the aftermath. Sitting here, home and safe, it is hard to even fathom, it is like watching a movie about the end of the world.

My heart is just breaking - all of those people suffering so badly.
