I am considering getting the Mirena IUD. I am literally sick of taking the pill, I have tried many different ones over the years, but they always cause morning sickness. As DH and I don't plan on having any more kids, but are still weary of having permanent surgery yet, I think that will be a good option.

Has anyone here ever used an IUD?

Well, I found out today that my insurance will not cover me getting an IUD. It is pretty ridiculous - they cover BCP's, Tubal Litigation and Vasectomies - but not an IUD! hammer

My Dr. is going to call me back tomorrow and let me know if they can do it for less than the normal $815. Wish me luck!
