DD and I are reading this book together.  Did anyone else love this book as a child?  I did, and it is so fun to read it with DD now.   She is so into it that she brought it in the car with us yesterday and read a chapter to me while I was driving.   We're having fun with it.

It's so nice to read really good literature with DD - I enjoy the experience so much more when I like the book and want to keep reading as much as she does.

Finally - we're at the last chapter!  We don't read it every day, so it's taking us a while to get through it.  And we only read it together, so she hasn't read any of it by herself.  But today we'll finish it!   Such a great book for this time of year, too, with spring showing itself all around us.
