I am on bed rest for the rest of this week. I woke up in the night with severe cramping. No bleeding though...........I called my doctor this morning and she asked me to come in as a precaution. She did a sonogram and fortunately everything looks great with the baby. She is not sure why I was cramping though so she asked me to take the rest of the week off and just lounge and drink lots and lots of water. She also told me that I really need to "watch it" with work and try to let things go as much as I can with that and put myself first more. My co-workers and one of my bosses who I told today said the same thing. They drew yet more blood and I have to go back first thing Monday morning. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I know one of my co-workers said this is "normal" and probably nothing to worry about. I'm still nervous as hell though...........

Do take it easy any time your doctor tells you to.  Ultimately, what will be will be, but if rest is called for, then that's what you need to do. hug

And yes, there are some here who have had trouble during their pregnancies, myself included.  Wink  But we'll save the scary stories for after your baby arrives safe and sound.  bouncing lol My DD is fantastic now, but I was on bedrest for about 18 weeks and she came two months early.

I would follow your doctor's advice and take it easy.  Your body is strong and knows what to do smile {{hugs}}
I'm sure it's very scary for you and I'm sorry... - I know what that feels like ...

I am so glad to hear that everything is OK! Bed rest is tough, but you and your baby will get through it.

When I was pregnant with my first son, I had a similar experience. After a really bad scare, and a few days on bed-rest, the Dr.s attributed the pain and cramping - without bleeding - to my pelvis, hips, and abdomen, all suddenly expanding. The rest of the pregnancy went fine, and that was the only complication.

Either way, it will be good for you to pull back from work as much as you can, and take care of yourself. I hope that this is the last scare, and that the rest of your pregnancy is great!

Please keep us posted!

I had bleeding, but no cramping at 7 weeks with Ale...had to take  1 week off work, on bedrest and allowed to get up only to go to the restroom and to have meals at the dining room table (apartment, so no stairs!)...The Dr said the same thing: take it easy and don't get too stressed over work...for the rest of my pregnancy, whenever I felt like going into super-hero mode I'd ask myself: is this worth stressing the baby?? ...guess what? the answer was always NO!, so I let someone else take care of it (I did return to super-hero mode after the maternity leave, though!  bouncing lol) ...get plenty of rest and be in contact with your Dr!  hug

I'll keep good thoughts for you.  That would be a very scary thing to go through, but it's nice to read that others experienced similar things and are fine.  HUGS to you!!   hug  heart
