For the past two years (maybe longer, but I can't remember) I seem to come to this time of the year wanting to splurge on new toiletries.  It's sort of like spring cleaning, except it's new soap, shampoo, lotion, etc for me.  rotf It's weird but it feels good to splurge - sort of a renewal process.  Anyone else find themselves wanting to do that sort of thing periodically?

I go through that.  And some of that stuff, you SHOULD throw away, because it can go bad after a few months.

Last night, my SIL brought over a "goodie bag" of all kinds of make-up and skin-care products, lotion and such that she got from one of her clients at work who is a big make-up company. We went through it and split it 3-ways.

I got a whole bunch of stuff and left it in my "moving pile" to bring to the new house later this week.  The bulk of my stuff I have in my apartment, I am just going to purge!!

I do the same thing every Spring. I clean out my vanity, purge all of the old products, and make a list of what I should replace. I don't wear a lot of makeup daily & most days I just wash my hair & go, so my skin and hair products tend last longer than they should so I purge every spring to ensure I don't use stuff that is too old!

Thanks for the reminder!

I just tossed out a bunch of old makeup but right now I'm forcing myself to use up all the soaps and lotions and perfumes etc that have been collecting over the years.
It makes for very interesting mornings.  Wink

Glad to see I'm not the only one! smile  It's funny how the urge strikes me to do this.  Wish it happened more often with regards to cleaning in general.  rotf  I did buy new sponges recently, lol.
