Hmm..
*DD, but then I'm her mom and I guess all moms feel that pride.

*It might sound weird, but I'm really proud of my degree in math.  It represents a lot of hard work!  I have a masters in education but I'm much prouder of my bachelor's degree.

*Overcoming an eating disorder because it took me choosing to get better, and I did.

This is a really tough question!

Of course, I am most proud of both of my boys.... Their achievements fill me with more joy than anything I have ever done.

As much as it has not panned out for much $ in the real world, I am proud of the fact that I worked hard and put myself through college as an adult, achieving high grades, after having dropped out of HS and gotten my GED when I was 17, and then having a child when I was 18.

I am proud of the relationship that DH and I have. While so many of our friends and family lost their love, DH and I are both best friends and lovers, and nothing else in the world can break that.

I am also proud of the business that DH and I have built. As stressful as it is, I am proud of how hard we have both worked to still be surviving 7 years in...

Lara, I have to thank you for posing this question - these are the things that I need to remember when I am having one of those "everything sucks" days!  smile flower

LOL! yes, my first thought was: other than having Ale??

I've had my golden moments:

1. as a substitute teacher, I helped a kid understand that he was NOT stupid (like the whole class kept telling him!)...it really made my heart swell to see him defending himself at recess, armed with this new knowledge! (I'm NOT stupid, I'm just as smart as any of you, and Miss said so!)  diva love I just hope that tiny flame grew enough to help him achieve his full potential and not give in to the meanies!

2. The day I told a friend who had just come out as gay to seek counseling when he said: I couldn't even get my sex right! ....he said: so they can "fix" it? in a real sad, sad way....and I told him: No, so they can help you love  yourself for who you are...

3. Ex-hubby recently wrote in his blog that I had "taught him how to live" (?)

Hmmm thats a toughie

-I'm proud of the fact that I graduated HS and pushed past all of the negativity

-I'm proud of the fact that I remained a virgin until I was almost 19 (three days shy of my birthday)

-I'm proud of the fact that I found love and I didn't give up on him like I have every other guy heart

-I'm proud I overcame my problem with self-mutilation and have helped my little sister do the same

-I'm proud of the fact that I've learned to love myself a little bit more over the years.

*Also, JennR what kind of business do you do?

I'm proud of facing the truth about myself and my past.  By facing it and dealing with it, I've been able to move forward and have the life I wanted but didn't think I could have.   heart

GREAT thread!  Thanks for posting it.   heart
