Ugh! We got 4 inches of snow last night. The schools are all closed again today. Usually we get 1 or 2 snow days a year, this is number 6 so far this year!

I am so sick of winter! My back hurts from cringing against the cold, and my skin is dried out and flaky from the dry heat of furnaces and car heaters!

I think this year is especially bad for me because this is the first year in many that we did not go to Daytona Florida Bike week and get a  break from all of this.

Blah.... I am dreaming of Spring her in the cold snow covered North East.

We've had a similar time of it out here in the Northwest: usually mild winters with one day of school lost to snow, but we've lost 7 days this year, plus 3 days to a windstorm, and many areas lost more than that due to fall flooding-it's been crazy!

Last Thursday we had a snow day, Friday it was sunny and 60F, the weekend had sporadic showers, Monday it rained, yesterday was sunny and 60F, today was a pelting, cold rain... My flowers are confused!

I am SOOOO hoping for more of those sunny, mild days; I'll hope for some for you, as well Wink

It sounds like you guys are due for a break!
We seemed to have launched into spring here - it's been very warm lately.  Don't know if it's supposed to last, but it's a welcome change to wear open-toed shoes again!

Open toed shoes??  I can't even imagine... I couldn't have my NOSE out in the open this morning (tugged my scarf up over my face when I was walking the dog) because the 7* air and all the rock-hard, ice-laden snow from yesterday's storm was just too much for me!   eek

I feel for you all although I'm the opposite. I must be a freak of nature. I love the snow and cold. I spent 23 years living in Tucson and couldn't stand it. The sameness of the weather, six or seven months of sweating. Yuck. OK, you can shoot me now, LOL.

Warmly,

Lynn

LOL! Honestly, I couldn't deal with the heat of Arizona either! I love the changing seasons, but I hate the extreme cold of winter... I would probably be well suited to living in The Carolinas or Central Coastel California... Hmmm.. I can dream anyway!

Today, the weather was beautiful here! It was 76 and sunny - that is perfect as far as I am concerned! I just wish it would stay this way, unfortunately it is supposed to snow on Friday!
