 diva love

Hi Divas!  Wow!  Posting here feels like coming home.  I can't wait to catch up on how you are all doing and meet some new people, too.

Tricia, I feel like you!  Can I come back too??

 diva

I'll give ya a brief update:  I'm engaged (!!!!), will be a step-mom to an 11 yr. old boy who I adore; living with finacee and his son, who is with us most of the time; learning A LOT about how those life changes work.  eek  LOL  J/K, but it's a HUGE adjustment; happy, but huge.  I am eating my stress again and am going to head back to the support group that worked so well for me in the past.  Am trying to find that elusive balance between work, my new family, and myself as an individual, and my friends.  I have a lot more empathy for parents, step-parents, etc.!!

Still have Archimedes the cat; he's adjusting to our new home and family too.  Ms. Penelope (aka The PP Girl) went to live with her Auntie Soap Star and is doing GREAT.  I think both cats are happier now, and there's no more territory battles for either of them.  Arch is getting used to the boys.  He loves the house we're in now.  We went from an apt. that was less than 700 sq. ft. to a 1500 sq. ft., 2 story home.  He has a cupboard that he adopted as his own our first day in the house, so we have left that area for him to call his own.  He's a happy boy and is doing great.

I'm at work and have to log off, but I wanted to sneak a little post in and say hi.  I'll type more from home tonight.

hug to the Divas!!  It's nice to be home.   heart

Hi Heather - It's great to hear from you! We have missed you around here. hug

Wow, you have gone  through lot of changes! Congratulations on your engagement! Have you set a date yet?

I can relate to what you said about learning a lot from an 11 year old - my oldest son is 12 and  in 7'th grade now, so I am learning more about boys and puberty than I ever thought I would know!

Well, it is great to hear from you - keep us posted!  heart

Thanks!!  Wedding date is set for June 9th and planning is in full swing.  Lara, I feel like you have all been a part of the journey.  What would I have done without the support of DT?  It was sometimes the only thing I had to look forward to on otherwise difficult days.  smile flower
