Welcome to DivaTribe

A diva accepts herself as she is right now and strives to be even better.
She doesn't change who she is to fit someone else's idea of what she ought to be.
She reaches for her own ideal sense of whom she wants to be.
She's strong; she's courageous; she's creative.

I'm 35 years old and I took my first ever ballet class tonight!   diva  It was so much fun.  Just showing up and walking through the door felt like the biggest accomplishment, lol!

Loved it.  I felt so happy afterwards, and it was incredible to be focused completely on the present moment for 90 minutes.

* major applause *

I totally understand the feeling of achievement for just showing up. After wanting to for 17 years and not being able to for one reason or another, and in the worst shape of my life, I started bellydancing late last summer. I had to force myself not to be terrified the during the 4-week intro class but now I aboslutely love it and am part of the performance troupe.

Jen, that is so neat! Are you going to keep going?

Good for you to get out there and try something new! I have been dying to take a Belly-Dancing class for the last few years, but there is always some timing problem getting in the way.

You inspire me! When my sister moves back here next month, I swear I am signing us both up for the class!  yippee
