We are completely in the \"just thinking about it\" stage, but DH and I have started thinking about maybe getting a Prius.  We\'d trade in our everyday car and maybe our second car too, though not necessarily that one.  (I don\'t want to trade that one in, as it\'s my Miata that I bought myself over ten years ago.)  DH\'s company offers a bit of a rebate for employees that buy a hybrid, so there\'s that incentive, and the gas mileage would about cut our gas bills in half.  

I don\'t know that we\'ll even do it any time soon, but it\'s worth thinking about and crunching some numbers.    

250 mpg?  Can you even imagine?  That would be awesome.  Premium is over $3 a gallon everywhere I look now, and that\'s what our car takes.  I easliy drive 320 miles a month just going to and from school, and  I\'m lucky if I get 24 mpg right now making that drive.

We put down a deposit today.   I don't know how long it will be before we get one, so it really doesn't feel like we bought a new car today.  But I'm excited to get it.
